We go to Weyerhaeuser’s Rhododendron Garden to see rhododendrons, but come back to find snowdrop:

Dog-toothed Violet ,

first Trillium of the year,

light filtering through.

The eye begins to see.

You are just the best photographer I know of!
Very pretty! I especially liked the dog-toothed violet- they look like tiny parasols.
I adore your nature photography. So beautiful!
Now that we have our cabin up in the woods I’m trying to take more pictures of nature – I too managed to get a good Trillium picture (one good one out of about 10 blurrier ones)! I was thinking of your wonderful pictures and thought, why don’t I give it a try?
Now birds…forget it, I can’t ever manage to get a picture of them!
Careful Mauigirl, that’s how I started and got hooked taking pictures of nature.
It’s a slippery slope (though nearly as much fun as a slip and slide).
